Villa Nayana is located in front of the sandy beach of Bali
Bali has four beaches, which are formed in sandy coves with nice greenish waters. The beaches are almost always calm since the bay of Bali faces to the west. They all are suitable for children and well organized with sun beds, umbrellas, shops and restaurants.
Although the villa offers a unique benefit of the organised private part of the beach located just in front of the villa, if you would like to explore more beaches nearby, please check:
- Panormos (9.3km): Panormos beach is a beautiful sandy beach which is fully organized with sun beds and umbrellas, showers, water sports etc ideal for families. The beaches are sandy and have clear waters.
- Geropotamos (17.3km): The beach is named after the homonym river that empties in the east end of the beach. The small beach is sandy and has crystal clear water, which is very cool because of the river, which has water all year round and forms a small deep lake near the shore. It is slightly organized with umbrellas and a canteen that offers refreshments, coffee, water and food supplies. Despite the easy access, it is always quiet and not crowded. However, the orientation of the shore makes it vulnerable to north winds.
- Agia Pelagia (31km):The beach is a long and narrow beach with sand and greenish waters. Also the water is almost always calm and the bay forms a tranquil harbor. The beach offers many options for water sports, diving, umbrella and food, etc.
- Rethymno (28km): Organised sandy beach more than 20 km long, stretching from the town of Rethymno in an easterly direction towards the areas of Perivolia, Platanes, Adelianos Kampos, Skaleta. You can find organised spots with sun beds, water sports facilities and beach bars or secluded quiet spots.
- Episkopi (44km): The sea in this area is regarded to be the cleanest and most beautiful on the North coast. Even in the high summer season, you can easily find a secluded spot on your own or a strip with sun beds and parasols, if that is what you prefer. There are several taverns and beach bars directly on the beach which they all are very popular to the locals and they are quite lively during the week-ends.
- Georgioupoli (52km): With pure sand and clean, shallow waters, Giorgioupolis beach is fully organized with sun beds, umbrellas, lifeguard and tavernas all around. The highlight of the area is Kournas Lake and the sweet water bursting from various spots on the beach. Do not miss out to have a walk up to Perastikos river, which divides the beach into two. At the point where Perastikos ends up to the sea, the waters are very cool and the vegetation around are unique. Take care of the sea currents and the waves on windy days.
Furthermore, on the South coast of the island you can also discover some of Crete’s most amazing natural beaches such as “Schinaria”, “Damnoni”, “Triopetra”, “Agios Pavlos” and "Preveli". The distance to the South coast from Penelope Home is about 60 minutes by car and all the above beaches are located near to Plakias village where you can find shops and many taverns.
